Where does the time go?

It seems like just yesterday I started attending the North Blue Earth Church and it seems just like yesterday that I got to know the different families from church and it seems just like.....yesterday that I got a letter in the mail asking if I would be a mentor for sweet Emmy during her last year of confirmation...and now she is confirmed and our Wednesday meetings are all through and where did the time go? I love this girl she is sweet as sugar! It was a treat getting to know her better and her confirmation Bible verse will always stick with me...

Monday Monday...

What a great weekend to reflex on Monday A.M.

The best part was my wound up husband Sunday afternoon! I love his silly self! It was one of those episodes where your stomach hurts so bad from laughing and you can't control it! But we did manage to snap a picture of our silliness! Saturday night we went on a date and it was oh so fun to hang out! Friday Jason helped my dad load a tractor and then headed to the Muni...for a few I think...I went grocery shopping with my mom after work and I saved a total of .....drumroll....$19.51 with my coupons which included three free tubes of tooth paste, two free jars of salad dressing and 3 jars of Zesty Italian for .8 cents a piece!!! Then my mom and I brought pizza home for supper! What a great weekend! And the excitement from Sunday will just have to wait for another post! :)

GRANOLA Anyone?

The above photo is my stash off goods from the "Wintergreen's Natural Food Store". I took my mom there for the first time on Saturday and she helped me package up the items I need for this granola recipe I wanted to try.

Mixin' up a batch. Note our two new fish Al and Alvina, Jason tells me I can't talk to them when I bake/cook.... Also note my new skirt from the Bass Pro Shop road trip...Love it!

Pumpkin seeds + sunflower seeds + oats + pecans = FIBER!!!

This photo was taken a few days ago and the granola unfortunately is GONE...and Jason even opted for it instead of a twinkie...Isn't that a compliment??? Woo Hoo he likes it!

How was I so BLESSED?

TO have HER as my Mother?

I could go on and on and on about why I am the luckiest daughter on this earth but I wouldn't have enough time in the day to write it all...She is the best at so many things: being a Day-Maker, My BEST friend, her laughter and sense of humor (don't you love inside jokes with special people!).... Today I went to church at my home town with my mom, (dad too) it was like old times and she even rubbed my neck during the sermon, just as she did when I was little :) I could never say enough good about this wonderful, inspiring woman who I am BLESSED to call Mom! Thanks for being so good to me and making my life so enjoyable, there is just something about a Mother's LOVE! Happy Mother's Day Mom! I love you more than "Stuff"! Someday I would be happy being 1/2 as good of a Mother as you are to me! :)

The start of GARDENING 2009

What a beautiful weekend to get planting...

My window sill with herbs, since this picture was taken I have added a few more plants.

Herbs:

Thyme

These large pots have been here since Jason bought the house, there are two more in the front of the house but Ivan has taken them over...and uses them to nap in...therefore I didn't even bother to plant anything in the front two. I planted hot pink geraniums and both varieties of sweet potato vine....they are going to be beautiful.

Not sure what these plants are called but for some reason they just caught my attention and I have a hard time keeping myself from looking at them. Looks like the railing could use some paint huh...

I think he should get the "cutest" husband award! Jas tilling the garden with my brothers tiller. Gotta love all that fresh turned up, soft soil to plant in....

Road Trip...

What do you do when you get the winter blues??? You start saving for a little road trip...

Pre Road Trip...gathering change for extra spending. We had a whopping $216.00 Not bad.Two bare feet on the dash board...

Enjoying the pool and hot tube facilities after a long drive.

Destination: Bass Pro Shop Council Bluffs, IA...

Purpose: Fishing "stuff" & a get away for my hard, overtime working Husband.

Jas with all his "Loot". I made him put all of his purchases in the trunk because they sure stunk!!!!!!! And yes I woke up and found him sorting it all out on the KITCHEN table...ewwwww...Men....Still love ya Jas :)
