Tuesday the 30ths-30 Random Thoughts

1. The look oh my honeys face is priceless.
2. I love when he shaves and looks all clean cut...
3. I heard a gazillion birds at 5 A.M. and absolutely loved it!
4. I weeded in the garden last night.
5. We had sweet corn for supper last night...mmmm
6. I love grocery shopping
7. I got a B on my A & P exam..not bad...
8. Still have an A in the class
9. I went to my church on Sunday and my mom's church for coffee...kinda strange...
10. I have the sweetest, silliest, adorabalest, bestest nieces!!!
11. We had fun at Jason's brother's house for a Birthday Party!
12. Jason went grocery shopping with me and he got to buy pop....
13. With 2 rules attached...Only 2 cans a day and you must brush your teeth!
14. I need coffee to go on sale...I am almost out and hate paying full price :)
15. We bought our dogs a swimming pool...
16. I am loving a new bright colored necklace I bought...
17. Oh and the "gaudy" ring that matches it.
18. Jas put in 17 hours of overtime last week.
19. I love my parents!
20. I hung some herbs up to dry on Sat.
21. I love my job.
22. Mod Podge is a staple at my house.
23. Al our goldfish died, that leaves Alvina by her lonesome.
24. I need to cut up the honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple and strawberries I bought Sunday.
25. Turns out Jas doesn't approve of a PB&J for dinner...
26. I really like polka dots and Unwrapped (on the food channel)
27. I could never have enough skirts/dresses
28. I love my husband...he makes me laugh...ALOT!
29. Did I mention how much I adore my husband???
30. Only 2 A&P exams left and then I am free for Summer, bring on the gardening/canning!

A Relaxing Saturday A.M.

Since Jas had to work I decided I would get up with him at the crack of dawn (well it seemed like it...ok) I brewed my large pot of coffee and drank it out of my favorite coffee mug...it is really big and has flowers on it and a yellow interior...then I started laundry...just have the folding and putting away left. The dishes are done, the floor was washed Thruday night and vaccummed, I supose I could clean the bathroom...we'll see. I have bones to study and memorize for my exam on Monday...{insert deep breath here} But I would rather be sewing with this stack of fabric....doesn't it just make you drool...oh I have so many ideas and so little time...2 weeks left of school and then let the sewing/creating begin! Until then...

I'll just do simple mod podge projects like this: (I got the idea from Tiff at 4 under 3). In between my studying, going to birthday parties, folding laundry, church, gardening etc...Oh and the garden that is a-WHOLE-nother post:) I am starting to reep the benifits of it...mmmm

Happy 85th Birthday Grandpa

85 years ago today the world was blessed with this wonderful man that one day became my grandpa! He is the kind of grandpa that always had a "kidish" side, you know what I mean? The kind that would make paper airplanes with you and have paper airplane wars in the living room and hit the light and laugh about it. (Oh his laugh is soo sweet) He is the kind of grandpa that would hide your shoes...(he still does that) :) He is the kind of grandpa that couldn't tell his youngest two grandchildren NO when we wanted a tree house.....(even though he told grandma he WASN'T building us a tree house...) He is the kind of grandpa that would teach you how to tie your shoes and play card games with you like concentration on the living room floor. Oh and 52 card pick up, he liked that game too! He is the kind of grandpa that teaches you to eat a sliced banana in milk with sugar, hot dogs in baked beans, half and half on your chocolate pudding that grandma made. He is also the kind of grandpa that would give you a ride on the banana seat bike (remember those...). He is the kind of grandpa you could go on and on and on about telling stories you know the kind don't you? Well I sure do and I am so blessed that he has been such a SPECIAL part of my life! Happy Birthday Grandpa Gerry and many more!

Sew Exciting

Drum roll please........

I Tana for the VERY 1st time this weekend followed a pattern and sewed up a storm. However my favorite being this smashing shopping bag, don't look too close or you will see all the imperfections....and yes those buttons are there because I didn't know how to sew bias tape on a corner, sew I talked my sew sweet loving husband into sewing them on for me (don't tell him I told you this :)) while he watched TV because I was sew excited to get on to my next project. JoAnn's had linen on sale...sew I HAD to buy some. I found a pattern for a simple skirt and sewed it up...unfortunately I think it may be a little short for my liking, but I think I can fix that. (note to self next time cut it longer than long just to be safe!)

What a fun weekend even if it did rain and even if we did come home to a smelly dog kennel in our entry way because poor Ivan got a tummy ache...No we didn't leave him in his kennel all weekend without getting let out, my brother In-law dog sat for us. But everything is cleaned up and washed....and today its rainy, I love a good rainy day...don't you? I start school this afternoon, I'm a little nervous hope all goes well. Happy Monday!
